The War on Poverty had good intentions, but it's clear that the approach of expanding government assistance has created a cycle of dependency rather than addressing the root causes of poverty. Instead of relying solely on programs like Medicare, we should strive for solutions that promote self-reliance and personal responsibility. By encouraging job growth and providing individuals with the tools and skills they need to succeed, we can truly make a lasting impact on poverty alleviation.
