"Government affects NYC economy reduce inequality" Sep 02, 2024

The economic differences of New York City denizens is not hidden from Americans. The unequal economic crisis of the city is common knowledge and needs to be solved. Authorities, administrations, and people all need to intervene. The government has the responsibility to bring harmony to the system and country.

Millions of Americans--especially Black and Hispanic Americans--lack economic security. Economic security is what makes freedom meaningful, and underserved communities have been denied the opportunity to improve their lives. The government must deliver equality in the country and provide equal rights to everyone. Undoubtedly, it requires collaboration from both the government and people to run the country smoothly and peacefully. However, a major part of the process depends upon the authorities and the government.

There are different ways in which the government can end economic inequality crises. Different groups of people have given suggestions about solving this problem, such as the assertion that wealthy people should be responsible for bringing economic harmony, narrowing the gap by sharing their wealth and raising money for charities.

Apart from that, another suggestion is that job opportunities should be increased and qualified candidates should be given jobs. The socioeconomic gap could reach a fairer equilibrium if candidates were considered based on skill, knowledge, and experience as opposed to special favors, or “who you know.” This may be a small step, but even a little effort towards equality would be worthwhile.

Another very popular suggestion is related to tax. This strategy could be implemented in order to achieve economic stability quickly. A tax would be applied according to the income level in which an individual belongs. In other words, high income or wealthy people would pay more tax than the middle class and lower income citizens.

According to another popular suggestion, the education system could be made uniform. Every child would have a high-quality K-12 education with the same syllabus and course books. Additionally, all people would be provided with adequate medical health care and good health care insurance. Orphanages and nursing homes would be well taken care of. Elderly persons would be provided with adequate retirement money so that they can live comfortably without financial stress. With a uniform education, more citizens would be equally qualified for well-paying jobs.

In short, the government and our leaders should get involved and handle the economy in such a way that everyone gets equal rights. Without leaders getting involved, economic stability may be almost impossible.
