Georgia State Issue

Should #Amazon be building more fulfillment centers in Georgia?

"Bring more jobs to Georgia" Sep 05, 2024

Amazon is considered one of the world’s largest online retailers with 75 fulfillment centers all around America alone. Amazon’s net revenue only continues to increase every year, starting in 2006 where its revenue was 6.92 billion US dollars. 15 years later and Amazon now has a net revenue of 280.52 billion US dollars.

The company is planning on hiring at least 4,000 more for their new fulfillment center near Stone Mountain. Two more of these centers will be added next year and there will be more jobs available for the people, inevitably lowering the current unemployment rate of Georgia.

Since the company is only ever growing, they should continue to put up fulfillment centers all over the state in order to decrease unemployment and increase sales at the same time. The fulfillment centers may not employ a large percentage of Georgians at first, but the centers will open the doors for job growth.
