"Public involvement benefits all" Sep 04, 2024

In 2020, a missing 3-year-old Kansas girl was found dead with bruises on her body, indicating child abuse. After a thorough investigation, it was concluded that factors leading to Olivia’s death included inadequate supervision from the father and the caregiver.

It is essential to release child services records to provide transparency to the public. This will help serve as a lesson to everyone and inform them about the dangers of child abuse so that people can be on the lookout for telltale signs of abuse.

Children are so vulnerable to abuse because they may not know any better if they have been abused their whole life. They may need someone to step in to be their voice to help them report the abuse or get out of the abusive home.

Releasing these records can also help other victims come forward in the hopes of acquiring help. The public can be made aware of the reporting process and how they may help.

Witnesses can also be acquired once records are released to help indite the person responsible for the abuse. By publishing child services records, the general public can help solve the case and, at the same time, educate the general public.
