Should the U.S. government keep or repeal the #AffordableCareAct?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare, is a United States federal statute signed into law by President Barack Obama in March 2010. It was designed to extend health coverage to millions of uninsured Americans by legally requiring them to buy health insurance

When it comes to the debate over the Affordable Care Act, people are largely divided over whether it should be kept in place or repealed. The battle over the #ACA has not been easy, with the program facing many court battles, and Americans across the country being divided over the implementation and benefits of the program.

Supporters believe that it is needed to ensure that everyone has access to healthcare, particularly those that were previously uninsured. Other benefits include the free preventative care offered through the ACA, promoting people to stay healthy and preventing conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. The ACA also prevents denials for pre-existing conditions, as people with existing conditions prior are able to be insured without the worry of being denied coverage.

In contrast, those who argue that the ACA should be repealed focus object to the tax increases and higher insurance premiums needed to pay for it. Some people in the healthcare industry are critical of the additional workload and costs placed on medical providers.
