"What Makes Rubio Right for Florida U.S. Senator" Oct 20, 2022

As Floridians go marching to the voting booth on November 8, 2022, there should be no contesting who should be representing the will and interests of the people in the U.S. Senate. Simply going by competency and level of proficiency, it can be none other than Incumbent Senator Marco Rubio.

Since taking office in 2010, the one-time presidential aspirant has shown a trait not often seen in senators; an ability to always truly represent and defend the interests of the people. Every single thing that Senator Rubio has done has been for the betterment of his constituents.

Rubio traces his roots back to Cuban origins. His grandfather taught him how to love and appreciate what America represents and he took those values to heart. That’s why, in the troubling times that we find ourselves in right now, there can be no better person to show us that the American Dream is still alive and achievable.

Rubio represents conservatism in its purest form too. Unlike many who would use the values of the Founding Fathers to divide us, this individual manages to remain a true conservative both with his words and actions without threatening or bullying anyone. It’s why people like David McIntosh, the president of Club of Growth, a conservative advocacy group could freely call Rubio, “…one of the reformers who would come in and change things in Washington D.C.,” and “…a complete pro-growth, free market, limited government conservative.”

But most importantly, Rubio puts the little people first. As he told the New York Times, “Like most Americans, I know what it’s like for money to be a limited resource and to have to manage it accordingly. Our primary financial motivation over the last 15 years has not been to become wealthy. It has been to provide for our children a happy upbringing and the chance at a great future.” Because he feels the plight of the working class from a very relatable angle, he continuously and consistently blocks any avenue the government plans to use to waste our hard-earned money. His efforts in this area have earned him Taxpayer Super Hero status from the Citizens Against Government Waste.

Rubio is, in every regard, a person who doesn’t hesitate to defend the economy and safety of the nation as well. He made his stance clear on the extreme policies being initiated to fight climate change in an interview he had in August 2022. He said, “One of the critical problems with left-wing policies like you see coming from the Democratic Party these days is that they don't mesh with common sense and reality in the real world, right? So they have these policies now where we're going to go, all this battery-powered, solar panel - we don't have the infrastructure for that. We're not anywhere near that. All the tax credits in the world are not going to change that. Number two, a lot of the materials that you need to build these batteries and solar panels - all that comes from China, so you're empowering them. And number three is what I pointed out today, and that is we don't have the charging stations. And if we do, they're telling people not to charge the electric cars.”

The incumbent senator is smart and sensible. He knows what his position requires of him, and doesn’t hesitate to give his all to accomplish the mission. There may be nine candidates vying for this position but the hat only fits Marco Rubio.

Let’s help him continue making a difference in Washington D.C. Let’s vote Rubio for another term in November!
