"Why Ted Budd is Right for North Carolina" Oct 20, 2022

The open seat election on November 8, 2022, for who will be the next representative of North Carolina in the U.S. Senate has left many understandably undecided about who they’ll be voting for. Like many other voters in the state, I waited till the very last day, hoping that Incumbent Senator Richard Burr would change his mind and seek reelection. Unfortunately, that was not to be. With that door closed, it became imperative to find the best possible candidate that could be trusted to fill this pivotal legislative role. Ted Budd’s message was the first to really hit a note with me.

A former investment analyst and gun range owner, Budd entered the political scene only a few years ago when he joined the state’s House of Representatives serving the 13th Congressional District. Though he only served three terms, the work he did was so commendable that more than 33 lawmakers from all over the state gave him their official endorsement when he flagged his interest in contesting for U.S. Senator.

As for why he decided to leave the House of Representatives for the United States Senate, it was because Budd believed he could fight for an even better North Carolina from that vantage point. In his words, “I am gravely concerned about our country’s future, because North Carolina families, our values, and our jobs are under attack every day in Washington. Joe Biden has proven to be extremely liberal and dangerously incompetent. The Senate is our last line of defense against the Left’s woke, socialist agenda and weak foreign policy. Putting America first is the only way that our country will succeed. I pledge to you that I will work for everyday families, not the elite or political insiders, and I will fight to restore the conservative, constitutional values that make this country great.”

Budd sees the potential harm that schemes like the Build Back Better and Green New Deal can do to the system. He knows that if we aren’t careful and lose our guard, sooner or later, one of these ludicrous bills will pass and the entire country will be in trouble. That’s why Budd wants to get in there in November and put an end to the wasteful spending that has become the hallmark of the Biden Administration. His finger is on the pulse of the people so he knows that all of this reckless spending is making us lose faith in the government. As U.S. Senator for North Carolina, he’ll end the pseudo-socialism the nation is practicing and engineer a more functional job creation network.

And, like every other rational American, he believes that what the country is doing when letting immigrants in through the normal channels is more than enough. Because of that, there’s no sane reason to let the border stand unguarded, letting people who haven’t even been properly vetted troop into the U.S. He visits the border constantly and his concern for the situation is one of the reasons that the Border Patrol has endorsed this fine individual. Budd has promised that, should he win the coming election, he’ll give the Border Patrol all the resources that they need to bolster our security. He also plans to get to work finishing Former President Donald Trump’s wall. Budd intends to fight for Kate’s Law which will increase the penalties that illegal immigrants who repeatedly enter the U.S. face.

Equally importantly, Budd has also promised to continue defending the second amendment and ensure the safety of civilians. He isn’t like another candidate on the ballot who not only wants to take away our gun rights but also actively did everything she could while in office to reduce the sentences of hardened criminals and even let some go free in a few cases.

We simply can’t afford to get anything wrong in the coming election. If we want to keep North Carolina and America safe, we need Budd on the job so he can push Washington D.C. to make the tough decisions.

So vote wisely. Vote Budd.
