New York residents will have an opportunity to elect their U.S. Senate representative during the upcoming election slated for November 8, 2022. The two contestants who secured their party tickets during party primaries are Chuck Schumer of the Democratic Party and Joe Pinion of the Republican Party.
Joe Pinion, is an advocate, a Political News Commentator, as well as an entrepreneur. Joe, who was born and grew up in Yonkers, NY, has had an opportunity to appear regularly on major talk shows and news networks, and he recently launched a program on Newsmax called “Saturday Agenda.” Joe has adequately leveraged his gifts at every stage to offer the voiceless an opportunity to air their challenges. While serving at Morris Height Health Center as director of youth development, Joe played an integral role in integrating community engagement with health services to establish a grant initiative aimed at providing gap funding for kids in the community to enhance college accessibility. Joe states that he is running for the U.S. Senate seat to rescue the state and country from the trouble that has befallen it. He blames his competitor, Chuck Schumer, for disappointing 99% of citizens and instead, working for his own self and political cronies. Joe believes he is an average person carrying an extraordinary vision with the capability to represent common values in the senate and search for the citizen's best interests rather than special interests.
On the other hand, Chuck Schumer is optimistic that he will be reelected as New York's representative to the Senate. Schumer became the majority leader in the senate in 2021 after the Democratic Party secured the majority. In his time as New York's representative in the senate, some believe Schumer has been a dedicated and tireless leader. He helped deliver $20 billion for rebuilding following the 9-11 terror attacks as well as offering a $63 billion relief package aimed at helping New York recover from Superstorm Sandy. On his campaign website,Schumer claims he has always been present to support and deliver aid whenever New Yorkers need him. Schumer’s achievements also include authoring a permanent tax credit, offsetting the surging college tuition costs, protecting social security and Medicare, and encouraging infrastructure projects that create employment.
The question for debate is, who deserves to represent New York in the U.S. Senate for the next six years, Democrat Chuck Schumer or Republican Joe Pinion?
