"Giving the People a Voice with Kendra Horn" Oct 11, 2022

As Sen. James Inhofe will be formally retiring from office in 2023, his seat in the senate will be open for the taking this mid-term election year. This would be the second time that the State of Oklahoma would have to elect two members to represent their constituency in the Senate in eight years. It also gives Oklahomans the perfect opportunity to make their voice heard in a way it hasn’t been before by voting Kendra Horn.

Now more than ever, America is in the throes of extremely toxic and divisive politics. And, in many ways, Oklahoma is highly representative of this fact. That’s why the presence of a sane voice of reasoning – something that Kendra represents in its entirety – is so important.

While Kendra might be contesting on the platform of the Democratic Party, one thing that everyone who has followed her political trajectory so far can attest to is the fact that she’s more progressive-minded. This means that she’ll follow any agenda and devote herself to any cause, so long as it’s for the betterment of her constituency short and long-term.

As November 8, 2022, draws ever closer, it’s natural to hear statements like the above as they are sometimes parroted to secure the votes of moderates and voters without any political affiliations. However, Kendra is of a breed that actually practices what they preach. The singular proof of this can be found during her tenure as a state representative.

After pulling off arguably the most stunning upset victory in OK history to emerge as the representative of the state's 5th Congressional District, Kendra adopted a bi-partisan policy that was efficient and rewarding to members of her constituency. Not only was she one of the most accessible representatives the state has ever had in a single term, but she was also one of the most efficient policymakers. During her administration, she was able to successfully get 25 bills signed into law by then-President Donald Trump. This is a remarkable feat by any measure and it's a shining testament to the dedication she’s willing to bring to bear for her community.

In a Washington that’s decidedly marked by division and discord, Kendra promises to repeat her performance in the U.S. Senate and get things done, no matter the odds. Oklahoma needs someone who’s actively interested and invested in making the lives of the people better, someone who won’t stoke the flames of partisanship for their personal gain and she knows that, at the moment, she’s that person.

As an individual who has demonstrated the capacity to connect with voters on a personal level, Kendra is the wind of change that OK needs to walk towards a newer, brighter, and better future. Leveraging her vast experience and expertise in multiple careers, she’ll bring a fresh perspective to how national issues are handled and ensure that the will of the people always shines through, no matter what.

Kendra Horn epitomizes what the residents of Oklahoma have been clamoring about for decades now: the hope of a better Sooner State. As a senator, she’ll certainly lead the state to greatness once again.
