Wait though, aren't these mass shootings predominantly done by people who lawfully owned those weapons? Nothing "Wild West" about it instance-wise. We certainly do need feasible answers here.

I get the concern but think about this. Law-abiding citizens with guns aren't the issue. Criminals are. Gun control would only disarm the good guys, leaving them defenseless. It's not a wild west culture, it's a self-defense culture. There's gotta be a better solution than violating rights.
