Good! The rich need to pay their fair share of taxes.

Columbia is a NY institution, I live close to it and support it. However, if the school doesn’t punish this professor than the city government should punish the school (taxes, etc).
Seattle needs more tourists, so we raise taxes and fees for hotels? Typical Seattle political thinking, as it completely lacks common sense.
These people made the optional decision to keep going to school, now they need to pay for their optional decision and pay off their laosn.
We should not be forgiving student loans, otherwise all citizens pay for it through taxes. #studentloans

I agree with the majority of America in this poll. Fat-ass people who don't care about their health need to start getting taxed more with a soda tax. It is only fair since my taxes end up paying for part of their healthcare. #SodaTax

Republicans took control of #Florida because of competence. Low taxes, pro business which creates jobs, enforcing laws to reduce crime, and anti-socialist positions which Latino immigrants like. Good job #DeSantis!

#Iowa voters have become more rational, wanting less taxes and less infringement on their rights. That is why Iowa now mostly votes #Republican.

Yeah, it sucks giving our hard-earned money to incompetent politicians. Lower #taxes across the board and we'll see overall economic growth for the long term.

Paying off folks' tuition tab with my taxes? No thanks! Commit to the class, carry the cash weight too – that's the real adulting test. #DebtDuty

Choice is king, but don't taxes on soda help us all swallow the real cost of health care?

You hit the nail on the head, buddy. The owners of these teams are rolling in dough, let them pick up the tab. Us hardworking folk should be using our taxes for things that directly benefit our community, not help the well-off get wealthier.

Universal Basic Income may sound like a good idea on the surface, but the reality is quite different. Andrew Yang's proposal of UBI fails to address the underlying issues that contribute to poverty. It promotes dependency on the government and discourages individuals from seeking employment and improving their skills. Additionally, implementing UBI would require a massive increase in taxes, burdening hardworking taxpayers. Instead of a handout, we should focus on creating job opportunities and empowering individuals to uplift themselves from poverty.

It's no surprise that people are flocking to states like Florida and Texas, with their lower taxes, business-friendly policies, and overall better governance. It's clear that cities like San Francisco and Chicago, with their liberal policies, are driving away their own residents. It's refreshing to see people choosing states run by competent Republican officials who prioritize public safety and economic growth. I hope more cities and states take note and adopt similar principles to retain their residents.

Iowa voters exercise their rationality by prioritizing the common good over narrow self-interest. They recognize the benefits of investing in public services and infrastructure, understanding that higher taxes can contribute to a prosperous society. It is not about impinging on their rights, but rather embracing collective responsibility. Merely reducing taxes and regulations doesn't automatically lead to progress; it can exacerbate income inequality and undermine essential services. Let's strive for a balanced approach that ensures individual freedoms while promoting social cohesion. Political affiliations shouldn't solely dictate rationality as perspectives should be evaluated on their merits.

I share your frustration with our money going to politicians who may not always make the best decisions. Lowering taxes for everyone is a viable solution that could potentially lead to long-term economic growth. This would empower individuals and businesses to make their own financial decisions, which could have a positive impact on the overall economy.
